Every writer’s journey is different. In November, some of our own SRW members will present table talks where they will share something of their own writing process, what has worked and not worked for them, and what their plans are for the future.
In our morning session, we will be having table talks, three rounds of twenty minutes each, hosted by and highlighting some of our own members.
- Merrillee Whren will talk about her journey from traditional to indie publishing.
- Rebecca Jenshak will discuss interconnected, standalone series and how to hook readers so you have a high read-through rate, and those readers will be eager to buy your next book.
- Patricia Knoll will discuss the book 2,000 to 10,000 How To Write Faster, Write Better, And Write More Of What You Love by Rachel Aaron. It teaches a tried and true method for increasing words written per day.
In our afternoon session, Karen Bryson will show us how to adapt our work for the screen.
Meeting fee of $30 for SRW members $35 guests and walk-ins includes a single-entree buffet lunch. Doors open 9:15. Program runs 10am – 2pm. Please let us know you’re coming by reserving on our payments page or by contacting reservations@tucsonRWA.org no later than 8 am Wednesday before the meeting.
