June 22, 2013: Jaycee DeLorenzo & Michael Petersen

Think you don’t need to know this stuff because you are traditionally published or not yet published? WRONG. There is only one place you need to be on Saturday June 22 and that is the El Parador. Invite your non-romance writer friends ($25) as this is a MUST ATTEND seminar

Morning session: Jaycee DeLorenzo of Sweet ‘N Spicy Designs will answer the question of why book covers truly do sell a book and the art and science that goes into book cover design. April 27, 2013: Tina Folsom

Best Selling Paranormal Romance Author Tina Folsom will be talking about the issues authors face in increasing their sales in foreign markets, including translation services, distribution channels, marketing, networking with industry professionals, and which publishing conferences to attend.

Tina will also address the challenges and potential rewards of self-publishing and why authors may want to consider this route.

Born in Germany, Tina has always been a bit of a globe trotter. She briefly worked on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean. In New York, she studied drama at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, then moved to Los Angeles a year later to pursue studies in screenwriting. In 2008 she wrote her first romance and never looked back. She’s always loved vampires and decided that vampire and paranormal romance was her calling. She now has 15 novels in English and several in other languages (Spanish, German, and French) and continues to write, as well as have her existing novels translated.
